Meet our new Marketing Manager, Jamie!

We’re thrilled to introduce Jamie, our new Digital Marketing Manager.

We asked him the obligatory ‘get to know you’ questions (as well as adding some random ones to the mix).

What attracted you to After Digital?

I was initially drawn to the agency's work in the Arts & Culture sector and its B Corp commitment, but during the interview process, it was the people and culture that made AD feel like the perfect fit.

Tell us a bit about what you did before joining After Digital.

I started my career as a freelance filmmaker and photographer before moving into advertising and branding for a chain of e-commerce brands. I later co-founded a branding and marketing agency and started an e-marketplace focused on addressing the circular economy and climate action. Most recently, I worked in marketing and operations at an environmental engineering company, helping to develop carbon capture and food security projects.

What do you bring to the team?

From a varied background working across industries and roles, I aim to bring a strong skillset in data-driven marketing utilising different channels and strategies. I love problem-solving and finding new and innovative ways to approach marketing challenges, and I'm always keeping up to date with the constantly evolving marketing industry.

I have a strong desire to share, learn and collaborate, so I'm excited to see how I can support my team and deliver results for our clients.

What do you do in your spare time?

When I'm not working, you'll find me seeing family or friends, or out climbing or hiking. I'm also a big foodie and love cooking or trying out new restaurants. I enjoy creating films, music, photos and pottery.

What's your favourite thing about what you do?

I love the opportunity to be creative and think outside the box, while also finding answers in data. I enjoy a challenge and ever-improving, but also working with a close-knit team and solving interesting problems together.

Are you a starter/main course or main course/ dessert type of person?

100% a starter/main course type of person. I've lost my sweet tooth, and I'd happily order only starters to try different dishes.

What is the most interesting (be that cool, random or otherwise!) thing that's ever happened to you?

Working with the UN World Food Programme in Bangladesh and Ghana was certainly a highlight. Seeing how much we changed farmers' ability to support and feed their families while not having to migrate due to climate conditions was so rewarding. Also, taking part in the WFP Innovation Accelerator Programme and being nominated for the Earthshot Prize was a super thrilling experience.

What's your favourite quote?

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." - Aesop

If you could watch only one TV show/ film for the rest of your life what would it be?

Groundhog Day would be a fitting choice, but I'd pick the show Gravity Falls. It's so wholesome!

You're stranded on an island, what are the three things you would take with you?

A good book, shelter, and a satellite phone

We love welcoming new members to the After Digital team and can’t wait to get to know Jamie better as time goes on. If you’d like to join our award winning team, check out our latest vacancies, or follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and and Instagram for the latest news.
